Well, we've almost made it to tech week!! While Tech Week is exhausting and a bit stressful, it's also incredibly fun and rewarding. Please help your student get lots of rest when possible!
SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK
Dress Rehearsals:
Monday 5-8 at Maple Ridge (door 4)
Tuesday 5-8 at PHHS
Wednesday 5-8 at PHHS
Performances:
Thursday and Friday evenings - dressed and ready by 5:45 (including hair and makeup), so arrive prior to that time and be ready in the auditorium by 5:45.
For all of these evenings, students are to go home and come back. Monday evening, they can come in costume if they still have it at home, but must bring a change of clothes because once it's here, it's not leaving again. Every other rehearsal they will have to come and change once they get there.
When rehearsals/shows are at the high school, there is a specific door they will enter and it is not a main entrance. The side of the school that faces Wendy's and Needlers has a road that curves around connecting the front doors to the big parking lot. Inside that curve is the tallest portion of the school that has an Arabian Horse on the brick. That is the auditorium. Facing Wendy's on that wall, there is a loading dock and a solid green door that you have to go up steps to get to. It will be propped open and that's where your student will enter.
FRIDAY MORNING students are meeting us at the high school and need to be there by 8:15! YOU DO NOT NEED TO REPORT TO MAPLE RIDGE FIRST! Just come straight to PHHS. We WILL be riding a bus back as a group after the show. Students do HAVE to complete the permission slip attached (they'll also get on tonight at rehearsal) and return it to me BY TUESDAY! If your student goes to Kids Connection in the morning, we have a leader who can pick them up at MRE and bring them to the high school. Please indicate this on the permission slip!
Shirts will be passed out tonight at practice. We are asking that they all wear them on Friday, April 26 to school!!!
